Belmay Focus on Fragrance with Sale
of Flavours Division.
29th March '07: Belmay Announces the sale of the Flavors division: Belmay Statement as follows.
The Directors and Shareholders of Belmay are pleased to announce the sale of Belmay's 20 year old flavor division to Frutarom Industries Ltd. The sale includes the flavor facilities inWellingborough, England and its offices in Denmark, Norway and Singapore.
Today's announcement does not affect the ownership of the fragrance company which remains a 100% privately owned family business.
The sale will allow our company to strengthen its financial resources while focusing on our historical core competence, fragrance. We plan to re-invigorate and re-focus our efforts on global fragrance innovation, design and development which will place us in a very exciting position in the decade to come.
As the market for fragrance continues to challenge us all, having greater financial flexibility will enhance our competitive position.
